Meet the management guys, behind the scenes ↘
Meet Amy
Amy first came to The Animal Days in 2022, seeking behaviour support for her Romanian rescue dog, Mango. During a series of sessions with her husband and our founder, Jessie, it quickly became clear that Amy had a natural, confident way with dogs. While Mango faced a few initial challenges, Amy’s calm, structured approach and strong leadership instincts aligned perfectly with our ethos.
Following the behaviour programme, Mango joined our dog walking rota to support his ongoing socialisation and desensitisation, with excellent results. In 2024, Amy and her family welcomed another dog, Doug, further expanding their canine household.
In early 2025, as The Animal Days continued to grow, we were looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely animal-obsessed individual to support Jessie in guiding the business forward. Amy was the natural choice.
Today, Amy is our Assistant Manager and a key part of the foundations of The Animal Days. Alongside her husband, their dogs Mango, Doug, and Ripley, and a wonderfully diverse collection of pets—including Fritter the banana python, Fergie the tortoise, and their gecko—Amy lives and breathes animal care.
Amy is available Monday to Friday via WhatsApp or telephone to discuss your pet care needs. She will arrange your initial meet-and-greet, get you fully set up and booked in, and ensure both you and your pets feel supported every step of the way, while also keeping our team motivated, moving, and delivering happy, tired pooches.
Meet Jessie
Hi, I’m Jessie the founder and pet-preneur behind The Animal Days.
I grew up in a small town in Kent and spent much of my childhood outdoors, either walking dogs with my mum or taking part in family fun dog shows. At a time when dog ownership was simpler and less commercialised, these early experiences laid the foundations for my lifelong connection with animals.
Over the years, the landscape of dog ownership has changed significantly. Increased breeding, limited access to education, and longer working hours have left many owners struggling to meet their dogs’ physical and behavioural needs. I recognised this growing gap in support early on.
After returning from a year-long working holiday in Australia, I decided to build a pet care business with purpose. The Animal Days began with pet sitting services, alongside training and behaviour support. Demand for behavioural guidance grew rapidly, leading me to leave my full-time career to focus fully on supporting dogs and their owners.
I studied Health and Social Care before achieving a degree in Psychology, later specialising in canine behaviour and psychology. This background allows me to take a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding dogs and creating meaningful, lasting change within the home.
While I once thought my career path might lead into public service, I discovered my true calling in education, helping owners understand how their dogs think, learn, and communicate. The greatest reward is knowing that my work genuinely improves dogs’ lives and the relationships they have with their families.
Today, I train and mentor our team in behaviour-led handling techniques, ensuring we deliver a consistently high standard of pet care. By taking each dog’s individual personality into account, we help owners make practical changes that lead to a calmer, more fulfilling experience of dog ownership. Our clients say they love how much more socialised and calm their dogs are at home.
Not forgetting as well the other pets we cater for like cats, and horses. We love all animals. So let’s grow together and choose us to help nurture your pet. Drop your enquiry here to jumpstart services or send us an email if you’ve got a question in mind before you start the ball rolling.
