A little bit mucky when it rains, but a good spot to go that’s semi-enclosed, big enough to not be on top of others, and lots of different areas for the dogs to enjoy.

Two big fields on a small incline, beautiful views in the background, and a good sized car park. Just watch out for the cricket balls in summer!

Apart from the fact one of the car parks now charge, the free car park that we’ve linked above still takes you to the Rec, you just enter from a slightly different place.

If you need to be by the seaside sometimes, just like we do, then this a great walk for the dogs. There’s lots of little pathways to follow that all lead somewhere. You’ve got the beach if dogs like to swim, and you’ve got lots of bushes for the dogs that like to sniff.
Watch out for low tide, and swans though! Either they’ll be mucky stinky pups, or you’ll have pop them on if there’s swans in the lake (unless your dog listens to you of course).
