Why Jessie is Stepping Back from Weekends (and what that means for your pooch)…
Running The Animal Days has been one of the most rewarding journeys of Jessie’s life. From day one, she’s been fully hands-on — walking dogs in every kind of weather, answering messages late at night, and building this service into something she’s incredibly proud of. It’s been a full-time labour of love... and then some!
That said, after years of round-the-clock commitment, it’s time for a small but important change: Jessie will be stepping away from weekend work to reclaim a bit of rest and balance.
So, what’s changing?
Starting soon, Jessie will no longer be available for services on Saturdays, Sundays, or Bank Holidays. But don’t worry — we’ve carefully planned this shift to minimise disruption, and some services will still continue with a few tweaks:
🐾 Services Jessie will no longer offer on weekends or bank holidays:
Dog Walking
Half Daycare
Full Daycare
🏡 What about Boarding?
Boarding services will still be available, but handovers will now follow a slightly new format:
All drop-offs or pick-ups must be completed by 5pm on Fridays, and
Any weekend stays will be collected or dropped home from 9:30am on Mondays.
This allows Jessie to fully unplug over the weekend — something that’s vital when managing a business that runs at full speed every other day of the week.
💸Will I be charged extra for the extra nights?
Absolutely not. Any additional nights caused by the weekend handover policy will be covered by us, with no extra charge to you.
👀Looking ahead: a new pricing model
We’re also working on a brand new payment model that will offer more flexibility and value. Instead of paying per service, you’ll be able to secure more bookings at a lower overall cost. This upcoming shift ties in beautifully with Jessie’s new working structure — and we can’t wait to share more about it with you soon.

While these changes currently apply to Jessie only, we do kindly ask that, where possible, you keep this structure in mind when booking with our other boarders too. It helps maintain a consistent and smooth experience for everyone — pets and humans alike!
