Newsletter: new faces, pet parent zoom’ies & bits in between.
Welcome to your latest (delightfully unpredictable but always heartfelt) dose of pet-loving news! I keep promising more structure in these little “pup-letters”… but honestly, I’ve grown to love sharing updates when the moment feels right rather than forcing a strict “Sunday send.”
As it happens, the stars have aligned — or more accurately, I’ve carved out a quiet pocket of time. It’s 6:03am on Friday 8th May, the coffee’s hot, the dogs are sleeping still, so here’s an update of all the recent magic 🐶✨
🐍 New Kids in Town
Let’s kick things off by welcoming two brilliant new humans to our team!
First up is Amy — who some of you might already know. She’s now part of the regular crew, helping with daycare and a bit of admin behind the scenes. Amy lives in what can only be described as a mini zoo (two dogs, a gecko, a tortoise, and a banana python named Fritter — naturally).
Little fact: Amy was actually one of my first behaviour clients years ago, when her Romanian rescue had a few “quirks” (shock😂). We even joked back then about her working for TAD one day… and here we are 👀
Amy and her pooch Doug (when he was just a wee pup).
Joining Amy is Jo — a dog-mad, horse-mad bundle of joy. She’s supporting us on a “bank” day care basis, so you might not see her all the time (yet!). But… I am working on stealing her to the dark side full-time 😎
So if anyone knows of a commercial warehouse where Jo, Amy, and a bunch of dogs can hang out and thrive, hit me up. We’re officially manifesting and praying for the perfect new pet base.
Jo and her little lad Barney, doesn’t he look dashing
You might remember that earlier this year, poor Steve had a bit of a health blip (not from dog stress, promise! 🤣). It was a bit of a wake-up call about how much we rely on our small but mighty team.
Lianne, who’s been part-time with us, sadly couldn’t increase her hours — so she stepped back in March, to a bank support role to make wiggle room for a third full-time dog walker.
Cue drumroll… 🥁 after what was only meant to to be a couple of weeks, turned into a couple of months…
Becky joins us on Tuesday 27th May!
Becky is a very calm and genuinely lovely. I have zero doubt the dogs will adore her — and so will you. More on Becky closer to her arrival date 👀
📣 Get Involved with Our Zoomies!
Things are moving at lightning speed behind the scenes, and we don’t want our amazing pet parents getting left behind.
So we’ve launched Pet Parent Zoom’ies — an online catch-up where you can ask questions, get all the latest news, and eventually (maybe!) take part in virtual dog shows, awards, and more. Baby steps for now, though 🐾
Important: Zoom’ies are exclusive to current active and loyalty customers only. You’ll need to register and be pre-approved. If your name’s not on the list, we’ll have to (kindly) keep you at the digital door.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
BUT! Don’t worry if you’re not active yet — we’re officially reopening registrations on Monday 2nd June! 🥳
Just a heads up: registration is only open until Friday 25th July — and you’ll need to book your meet-and-greet before the 25th July to join us. After that, our books will close again until autumn.
Why the time windows? It helps us settle new pets in properly, keep things safe, and deliver the personal care we’re known for. No chaos. No overwhelm. Just happy pups and a steady flow.
Right — it’s now 6:46am and I’ve probably thrown enough info at you for one morning 😅 Thanks for being here, for trusting us with your pets, and for being part of this wild, wonderful ride.
Love and woofs,
Jessie xx
