Wag more, worry less: Introducing TAD’s subscription plans
Since November 1st, 2023, we’ve proudly been running as a limited company. We’re now into our second year of trading and about to hit an important milestone: reaching the VAT threshold.
Now, most businesses at this point simply add 20% on top of customer bills to cover VAT. But we don’t want to do it like that, so we’ve been working on a way we can move forward as a business, and keep good value and care at the heart of what we do.
We’re going to change the game with the introduction of subscription packages 🤞
Why Subscriptions?
Think about Netflix. You choose the plan that fits your household: Standard, Premium, or somewhere in between.
Simple, predictable, and tailored to your needs.
That’s exactly what we’re creating for pet care – three subscription tiers with set pricing, added value, and exclusive pricing perks.
The subscriptions do mean a few changes also come into play for our day care services; which we will explain in more detail.
The Subscription Tiers
Social Dog Subscription (1 pet) or Social Dog Plus (2+ pets)
Perfect for dogs that join us occasionally – like once a week or fortnight.
What you get:
6 × Walks per month
2 x Day Care per month
Active Dog Subscription (1 pet) or Active Dog Plus (2+ pets)
For pets who need more play - you’re probably already on 2-3 services a week.
What you get:
12 x Walks or Visits per month
6 x Day Care per month
Top Dog Subscription (1 pet) or Top Dog Plus (2+ pets)
For pet parents who really need us – we probably already visit most days.
What you get:
Unlimited Walks or Visits per month*
10 x Day Care per month
*Unlimited = capped at 24 visits per calendar month
Why This Matters?
You get more for your money.
Pricing stays simple and predictable.
VAT is absorbed into this model.
Flexibility: one monthly fee, cancel anytime.
Day Care - New times available!
We really want to open a massive barn-based day care. Surrounded in woodland, set on a couple of acres. Which is still the goal, dream and vision.
But good things come to those who wait, and we need to wait a bit longer for that dream to manifest.
If we had a big site, with more to offer we could bring in more staff and offer longer hours.
However, currently we’re a small but mighty, solid team and we’ve discussed what’s working for us right now.
And sadly, we do need to make a few tweaks so that we can continue to provide reliable day care across the week.
Previously we’ve offered to do late in the evening drop offs, but sadly this can’t continue.
Our day care available times will change to 0900 - 1700.
This means the earliest we can pick up is between 0900 to 0915.
And the latest we can drop off is between 1645 to 1700.
For customers already using these services, this change will come into effect from the 1st Nov 2025 in alignment with the introduction to subscription packages.
For new customers that have not yet had a day care service with us, these changes are in effect from 1st October 2025.
What’s Next?
From now till the 1st November 2025 we will provide our loyalty customers (around 70 of you) with more updates and information about the subscription packages.
And we will begin to transition loyalty customers over, that want to switch, making sure that everything is in place ready for the 1st Nov
Any loyalty pet parents that do switch will see their recurring billing dates set up for a date convenient to them at the beginning of the next month.
Services included will then be added to MPW on the days you request from the 1st Nov till the end of the month. This is then repeated monthly.
Now of course there are some new terms that will come into effect with the above, and these are part of the updates that we will be sending out over the next week.
You’ll have everything you need to make a decision on what’s better for your family, and time for us to get it set up.
1st Nov - 15th Dec we will iron out any creases or problems that arise from the switch over so that we are ready to launch it across the company from the 1st Jan 2025.
However, the whole point of this is to make pet care more affordable in a world where everything else is going up.
So, if you are not a loyalty customer, but would like to switch to a subscription package please notify us, and we will do our best to switch you over sooner.
Can I still just use Pay-per-service?
Please don’t worry, we aren’t going to get rid of our pay per service option, as we know that there are always going to be pet parents that just need us once in a blue moon. So those options are sticking around, but are slightly tailored…
Now, we’ve already covered quite a bit in this update, so we don’t want to overdo it!
